What Is Laser Therapy?
Lasers have become an extremely valuable tool in physical therapy. They bring many advantages that can’t be found elsewhere. The precision, control, and speed that lasers allow have made new and innovative treatments possible.
The treatment is just as it sounds: a laser device is used to manage your pain, rehabilitate muscle, and expedite the healing process. This is an advanced procedure that is painless, drug-free, and surgery-free.

How Does It Work?
Compared to a “hot” laser, which has an output of 1 Megawatt or higher, “cold” lasers have an output under 10 milliwatts. The laser device is used to stimulate cellular activity and increase circulation around the injury site. This can reduce inflammation and promote rapid healing.
In many cases, the presence of inflammation is the root of a patient’s pain. Deep tissue laser therapy works by stimulating damaged cells and increasing circulation, initiating a healing process that continues long after your session. As your cells are prompted to fight the inflammation, your pain will begin to subside.
How Long Does It Take?
Each session can be completed in just a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the condition being treated. For best results, patients typically see us for a total of 5-10 brief sessions.
